In case you haven’t heard, changes are coming to Maricopa. Big changes! For those who enjoy the sport of racing, Apex Motor Club broke ground on the development of a new track here in Maricopa about 5 miles West of the Walgreens. The completion date is slated for early 2020 and memberships are now being reserved.
This is great news for the community, creating jobs and increasing home values.
“This [project] started as a dream and it’s been a journey,” Plotke said. “We want to be a vibrant part of the community and build something that will stand the test of time. We’re proud to share the [City of Maricopa’s] vision and dream.”
APEX Motor Club is a private motorsports club and race track. The complex is expected to feature a 4.12 mile racetrack (to be built in two phases), a clubhouse, and 168 garage condos.
“The ability to say we are open for business and we want you here is a really big deal,” Mayor Price said. “That’s something we’ve been working on inside the City, and with City Manager Horst and the Council, I think we’ve really tried to portray what it means to be open for business.”
Reservations for membership with APEX are already being accepted, and the complex is projected to open in early 2020.
“We’re going to make sure we don’t miss a beat in getting this [project] done,” City Manager Rick Horst said. “We’ll make sure [this project] is successful, and this community becomes renowned for being the most prosperous community is Arizona.”
